This year is going so incredibly fast! I cannot believe we are already in October, however this excites me a lot as the autumn/winter months are my favourite. There is something so British about getting wrapped up warm and going for a long walk on a crisp day before hibernating at home with a pumpkin spiced latte.
For this post I am going to reflect on my favourite beauty picks from September.
I’m very late to the party with my first favourite this month, but I have been absolutely loving using my beauty blender as part of my make-up routine. I picked up this beauty blender around March time in Selfridges, however its only been over the last couple of weeks I’ve incorporated it into my make up application and I realised how much I have been missing out. It’s perfect for blending foundation and concealer, eliminating all lines and giving a flawless finish, not to mention its super soft on the skin.
My next favourite this month is a fragrance, I picked up Black Opium Floral Shock by Yves Saint Laurent at duty free on my last getaway and have been loving it ever since. Each time I spritz it, it reminds me of those long summer days. I previously had the original Black Opium fragrance, which again I loved, but the floral shock has a freshness about it, the signature black coffee notes mixed with bold citrus and a cool mysterious note of white musk. Its a perfect day to night scent.
Another make up favourite I have been loving throughout September, and I’m sure you have seen enough about on my blog and Instagram is my Chanel Soleil De Tan, Bronzer. I just LOVE the way it looks and feels on my skin. I’d just got back from holiday at the start of September so this bronzer was great for enhancing my natural tan and giving a sun kissed look, but as we move into the colder seasons it will also work really well to sculpt and shade. It’s very rich and pigmented yet so easy to blend.
STARSKIN is a brand of sheet masks that I have tried many of throughout 2017. I loved the Glowstar Soft Peeling Program Perfection Mask which is my usual go-to, however this month I decided to try the VIP The Gold Revitalizing Luxury Bio Cellulose Second Skin Face Mask – I mean… could it sound anymore glamorous. It is designed to rehydrate and reduce the appearance of redness, two things which I always look for in skincare and oh my god does it work! For best results it does say to use once or twice a week, but at £12.50 per mask, that would be quite an expensive hobby so I would recommend using when you want to give your skin an instant boost. I like to refrigerate the mask for 10 minutes before using as it has an extra cooling effect and leaves my skin dewy and illuminated.
Finally I couldn’t not mention my Clinique ‘All about the Eyes’ Eye Cream. Developed to deliver intense hydration and soothe the eye area, that’s definitely what it does. Since using this I have noticed such a difference and my eyes look and feel less puffy and a lot brighter. It melts into skin and feels wonderful.
